Daily Deal 241184“23rd and Broadway, please?”

“Sure thing, ma’am.”

“Why did the roof of your cab just light up?”

“You’re on the TAXI CAB QUIZ SHOW! The quiz game that takes place right here in my taxi! Answer the questions, and get cash. You ready to play?”

“Um…sure, why not. Sounds fun.”

“First question: According to the Owl on the old Tootsie Pop commercials, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?”

“That would be three. I remember the commercial well.”

“Oooh! Strike 1. That was a trick question, because the owl actually licks twice and then bites. Sorry.”

“That’s not really fair…”

“Question two: What is Ralph Lauren’s real name?”

“Oh, I know this. I’m in fashion. It’s Ralph Lifshitz.”

“Oh, I’m sorry. That’s wrong. I was talking about Ralph Lauren the company, not Ralph Lauren the person. The real name of the company is and always was Ralph Lauren.”

“I don’t really like these trick questions.”

“Question three: what watch, sold on JomaDeals today as a deal of the day, is dainty, has a striking two-tone construction, mother-of-pearl dial, is made by the Swiss and includes Swiss Quartz movement, and sells at a 55% discount, complete with 2-year JomaDeal warranty?”

“That’s a tough one, but pending another trick question, it’s the Victorinox Swiss Army Vivante Mother of Pearl. I bought it today from JomaDeals as their deal of the day and I love it. It’s gorgeous.”

“Well…uh…geez, you’re right.”

“I am! What do I win?”

“Nothing, actually. This isn’t really a game show. I’m just a really bored Taxi Driver.”

“That’s it. Let me out.”

“Your fare is $7.50.”

“You’re an awful person.” does not ship outside the USA and its territories. Shoppers from outside the USA may place orders for delivery within the United States. Product ships 3-7 business days after order.

In 1884, in the small village of Ibach near the Swiss Alps, Karl Elsener started his cutlery factory. He became the official supplier of the Swiss army with the famous soldier’s knife. Later, he developed the now universally popular Officer and Sport knives, officially registered in 1897. In 1909, Karl Elsener named his company Victoria in memory of his mother, and when stainless steel (Inox) was invented in 1921, the family company became Victorinox.

Today, the company managed by Carl Elsener Sr. and his son, Carl Elsener Jr, employs 1000 people and makes 25 million multi-tools per year, distributed in more than 100 countries. Whether in Museum of Modern Art in New York City or accompanying Everest expeditions or NASA missions, Victorinox multi-tools are everywhere.

The name "Swiss Army" was born from the immense popularity that the Victorinox Swiss Army Knife enjoyed with American GIs returning to the USA in 1945. As this popularity increased, so did the number and diversity of features and products. Today, the Swiss Army brand is recognized by 90% of United States citizens and the Swiss Army watch (introduced in 1989) has become so popular that one out of every 5 Swiss-made timepieces exported to the USA has the famous Cross and Shield emblem, symbol of Victorinox.

Victorinox Swiss Army timepieces represent a collection of high performance, attractively designed watches geared to the largest segment of the market.
